I am a blend of Serial Entrepreneur, Gin Lover and startup investor.
Proud dad of 3 beautiful kids - I have had the chance to launch my own company for the past 10 years with my partner in crime & incredible wife: Amandine Coutant.
Once upon in Canada..
Since I have put Ice skates on, my only obsession was to train so badly that one day I would have the chance to play Ice Hockey in CANADA.
No need to tell you that it happened. I am not going to lie, I was fortunate enough to have a family that supported me in my journey. When I was 15, I took a flight alone for the first time to Montreal for a two weeks hockey camp.
The real journey could start! I learned so much in two weeks time as you can imagine but most important, I was offered a seat in a team in West-Canada (Saskatchewan province) in a league known as one of the toughest. I still remember that pride you feel when a mix of joy and accomplishment arises all of a sudden.
A couple days to say Goodbye to my family and I was off for two years, to study of course, but most important; to live my dream. Do not be afraid to set yourself very ambitious goals as the journey will be long and you will have time to grow with it.
Proud Co-Founder & Director
Launched officially in January 2014, the adventure began! Along with my wife Amandine Coutant, we started our first journey as entrepreneurs. It took us quite some time to pivot to the B2B space after failing to launch our e-learning platform in the Education market.
It is in 2016 after failing at raising money with business angels that we decided to move to the B2B space with an adapted product that fitted the L&D space. However selling to HR can be quite a challenge as your product will impact the entire workforce. It was thus necessary to roll up our sleeves and start selling to smaller businesses to build legitimacy.
In 2018, it was finally our time to shine! We starting scaling our platform with larger corporates and grew our team to about 20 people by the end of 2019. Then it was time for Covid-19 to push us forward.
We had had this brilliant idea to bring content into our platform thanks to a marketplace with multiple content providers which would position our platform as a digital learning content hub. We scaled from 20 to 70 people during those fantastic two years and after raising 14M€.
But it was not enough, we quickly realized that we needed stronger technology to bring a logic in between all the content a learner could be facing. This is the time we met Domoscio and decided to go on a journey to acquire them.
I am very grateful for those 10 years and it is now time to move to other projects.
I am today turning those 10 years experience into
Sales is an Art, master it!
While in your startup journey, you have experienced or will experience that sales is probably your biggest challenge despite launching your product. A product that YOU find amazing and useful but that soon others will have to feel the same way about it. During the past 10 years starting and scaling myskillcamp, I have been through a lot, good and bad.
